What do you hope to get out of your formal photographer?

some good straight red carpet and entrance shots

a few shots at sunset using long exposures
of course you want lots of group shots such as this
good dancing shots take considerable skill

and the photographers gotta be able to get you smiling

group shots can take on a whole new look if your photographer knows a few tricks

of course there will always be those who can't help but create a good shot of themselves

or these girls who are obviously having a good time
you've dressed up - why not get into it?

this shot would be a bit ordinary if not for the photographers imagination

sometimes candids can work well

other times the photographer needs to bring it on

why are DJ's always photogenic?

for some people a straight group shot is what works best

zoom with flash & long shutter speeds produces dramatic results

but sometimes a straight shot is all it takes

we sometimes use a 12mm lens with the camera held high on a monopod

and sometimes we just say "close together"

but we can get better results using our hand held SLR's & flash
